The court's ruling was largely correct. You cannot trademark functional aspects of a product. In this case, the connectors on the Lego bricks were deemed to be functional, as they serve the purpose of connecting the bricks together. It was a pretty straightforward case.

I've gone ahead and mentioned your comment to the builder directly so hopefully he can contact you about the model. Thanks for saying something, I'm certain you will be impressed.

I don' t mean to lurk, but I have a Google news alert that sends me a link whenever sites mention "Hamline." I work at the university in its marketing communications office and I'd love to see a photo of this lego Old Main! It sounds amazing!

Wow, that is cool. Bigger scale than Mircropolis. I liked the way they made the roads and the tracks for the train. The cars were quite a bit bigger. i think this is more the micro scale people build cars in. You can use the 1x1 round plates for wheels. Some nice buildings there. Couldn't tell how the street was exactly layed out on first look but I'll take a longer look tomorrow.
see ya

Hi!

I saw the post on MicroBricks about your Micropolis. It looks great.

Our LUG has been talking about a group microscale build and we would sure love to see your specs before we decide how to proceed.
